Shot #1
In the first shot we see the girl open the computer this links to SATC as the man character is a writer & in every episode opens it. They also included a shot of her typing which they do in SATC as well. Also the clothes they wear link as they are both wearing causal t-shirts. Mise-en-scene is similar as they are both in a flat with similar props and lighting.

Shot #2
Similar to SATC they are also included a skyline shot with the opening credits. This is a clear use of intertextuality as you can see the link. The shots were practically similar. This conveys the meaning that these girls are similar to SATC.

Shot #3
This third shot is linking to SATC as they both include people/New York. Its also a similar shot which is famous to SATC. They also include lavish outfits. Intertextuality is used as they both well dressed in New York etc. The women are represented as really powerful and strong.

Shot #4
They use intertextuality here to show another famous SATC scene as the characters are always in a coffee shop. They both show the café and also girls sat around. This is clearly referring to SATC.

Shot #5
The last shot is of destinys child's logo etc on a bus going by with steam. In the opening credits of SATC we see a bus with the main character as its driving by. This is a link (intertextual) as they both are similar shots & same concept. The whole video is a copy of SATC.

The reference to SATC makes the video seem like girl power as the show SATC is very much about independent, strong women. Therefore when watching the video the audience feels like this. It also makes Destiny's Child seem like this as well.
